Application

We are delighted that you have chosen to be taught and guided by Simon Low and his faculty at The Yoga Academy’s Yin and Yang Yoga Teacher Training and Study Immersion. Our courses generally fill up quickly, so we encourage you to apply early to secure your place.

 

We take great care in the process of application and enrolment to our trainings. To enable us to ascertain your eligibility, we ask you to fill in our confidential application form linked below. We also need from you 

  • 1 photo of yourself and 
  • 1 letter of reference. 

 

Please note that we cannot review your application until we have received your photo and letter of reference.

 

Enrolment process and payment policy

Our course is strictly limited to a maximum of 24 students. All applications will be responded to within 7 working days and will be considered in order of receipt, as will a wait list at the point the course places are all allocated.

 

To apply:

  1. Please fill in our confidential online application form
  2. Please email to The Yoga Academy at this email address: info@theyogaacademy.org
    • photo of yourself (yoga or non-yoga is fine)
    • letter of reference (reference letter from your current yoga teacher or, if not possible, a personal character reference from, for example, a recent or current employer, recent or current course tutor, etc.)
  3. Upon acceptance to this course, you will receive, by email from The Yoga Academy, a letter of acceptance offering you a place on the course as well as a registration agreement detailing the terms and conditions of payments, cancellations and postponements. You will need to sign the registration agreement electronically and email it back to us.
  4. After we have received your registration agreement, you will receive, from Samahita Retreat, instructions for paying your deposit, which secures your place on the course. The deposit needs to be paid within 3 weeks from acceptance to the course in order for you to keep your place. The remaining balance, with semi-private or single room supplements, if applicable, is to be made in two equal instalments as instructed by Ann at Samahita Retreat.
  5. Once the deposit payment has been received, you will receive a payment confirmation email from Samahita Retreat and an email from The Yoga Academy confirming your place on the course. You will also receive from The Yoga Academy a list of pre-course study material and course text books, details of your allocated shared-library book and other essential information helping you to prepare yourself for the course. We advise you to begin your preparation as soon as possible.

 

Please complete the application form to the best of your ability. It is essential that you answer all questions. There are no right or wrong answers, so please just be honest and clear with your responses. More than anything, this will help our teaching team to get to know you and clarify your intent for yourself.

 

At any point during the application process, please feel free to contact The Yoga Academy with any questions that you may have in any area of the course. Should you wish to speak to a previous graduate, we would be very happy to connect you with one of your prior trainees who has completed the course.
