Becoming a teacher
Most current yoga teachers started as students who, at some point of their journey, came to realise that their yoga practice and the shifts yoga was making in their values had transformed their life and given it a new meaning. This experience was something that gradually resulted in them aspiring to share it with and eventually facilitate in others.
When you begin to share your passion for yoga as a teacher, you will embark on a life-long journey of growth and learning. Your own understanding of the vastness of yoga reaches new heights and your own potential for growth as a human being is amplified immensely. Your personal yoga mat practice becomes an even more meaningful experience: an invaluable teaching tool and endless resource for growth and renewal.
While the desire to share yoga’s transformative potential with others as a teacher may have become a compelling calling, the step to fulfil that calling may seem a huge leap to take. Teaching is a multi-faceted skill that that can be learned and cutivated under professional guidance, and to learn something new is invariably an action that challenges us by taking ourselves outside of our comfort zone. The elements of this course have been carefully designed and put together to safely push the edges of the comfort zone further to give you the necessary set of tools that will empower you as a teacher.
To learn, read. To know, write. To master, teach.

Personal transformation
This course is also open to and warmly welcomes yoga practitioners without the current intention of learning to become a teacher. Your primary interest may equally well be the deepening and broadening of your own understanding of yoga; the chance to focus on your personal mat practice and individual growth. Or you may be a health professional seeking to enrich to your current expertise and skills. For such students, this course serves as an inspiring springboard into a lifetime of study. On our inaugural training we had students whose initial intention was centred on the enhancement of their own practice. As the course progressed and internal shifts took place, this experience was so meaningful that they eventually chose to sit the exams and partake in the assessments in order to earn a teaching certificate and step further out of their comfort zone than initially intended.
